Gigabyte Introduces Low

Oct 13, 2023Oct 13, 2023

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 graphics processor offers low power consumption, allowing graphics card manufacturers to explore different form factors. Gigabyte has now introduced the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile 8G, a low-profile graphics card that is suitable for miniature desktops while still delivering good gaming performance.

The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile 8G is based on Nvidia’s AD107 GPU with 3072 CUDA cores paired with 8 GB of 17 GT/s GDDR6 memory. It features a 128-bit interface and is overclocked to a clock speed of 2475 MHz, which is 15 MHz higher than Nvidia’s recommendations for the RTX 4060 model.

Equipped with a dual-slot triple-fan cooling system, the graphics card requires an eight-pin auxiliary PCIe power connector. The cooling system incorporates thin aluminum fins to help dissipate heat. The efficiency and noise level of the cooler have not been specified, but Gigabyte guarantees a GPU boost clock of up to 2475 MHz.

Measuring at 182 mm in length, the low-profile design of the GV-N4060OC-8GL graphics card may not be compatible with all compact systems. However, the card offers four display outputs, including two DisplayPort 1.4a and two HDMI 2.1a ports, making it suitable for setups with up to four monitors.

Gigabyte has not disclosed the pricing details for the GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile 8G graphics card. Considering the current price range of most GeForce RTX products, it is unlikely that Gigabyte will charge a significant premium for the unique form factor. However, the compact dimensions of the card make it a standout feature that Gigabyte may leverage for additional value.
